So what is learning?

Learning is the process of obtaining knowledge.

Learning is the change in behaviour due to accumulated experience.

Learning is a continuous cycle of gaining knowledge, applying it to achieve skill, modifying the knowledge from experience, applying it again.

There are many definitions of learning. Many.

Which one is the best?

Which one is relevant?

Which one is the most relevant to you?

Which one is the best for you?

How many definitions of learning are applicable to you?

How can you choose which definition is best suited for you?

What is the most important factor in selecting a learning definition for yourself?

Is the definition of learning static?

What are the changes in definitions over time?

“It’s all about me. I. Me. Myself. If I am not alright, nobody will be alright in my world.”

That’s how everyone’s mind works. That’s how everyone’s world is built. Every living being is about self-preservation first. We just have different ways of communicating this to ourselves and to the world.  And so it goes that learning too is about the individual. There are no experts on learning and there never will be. Because no expert is going to take responsibility about how your life turns out. So it’s best to be your own expert.
