Submit Your AI-Generated Film for the Google Gemini Contest

By Sanjay MukherjeeOctober 16, 2025

Since May 2023, I have been using a range of Generative AI and AI-augmented software to make video clips, short movies and even music videos. As part of the process, I also look for contests and competitions where such movies can be submitted. If you are also into Generative AI and digital creation, and if you create with Google’s Generative AI tools, here’s a contest that might interest you: ****The ‘AI Film Award’ by 1 Billion Summit & Google Gemini.

Submission Deadline: November 20, 2025

Key Criteria

🎬 Length: Film should be 7-10 minutes.

🤖 AI Power: At least 70% of content must be generated using Google AI models & tools (think Gemini, Flow, Veo, Imagen).

✍️ Theme: "Rewrite Tomorrow" or "The Secret Life Of"

Generative AI tools have changed how we storyboard films and videos; Image generated in collaboration with Google Gemini

Generative AI tools are become an integral part of video footage generation; Image generated in collaboration with Google Gemini

Generative AI tools are rapidly developing capabilities to become a part of the production and editing workflow; Image generated in collaboration with Google Gemini

The 70% AI-generated criteria has a clarification that original captured footage allowed as supplement (I assume that is the 30% part. The website states that: Applicants must use Google Gemini or any other Google's AI models & tools including Flow, Veo to generate videos & Imagen to generate images, or third-party tool that utilizes Google Gemini as the core underlying technology),”.

From what I have understood so far, this is a contest for individuals and the focus is on how extensively Google AI tools are used at different stages of the movie making process.
