The Learning Equilibrium

Change is the beginning and the end

We live in a time of constant change and conflict. Individuals and organisations are championing and evangelising change, change management, change processes. So much so that it would be challenging to identify a competent change management company if you were looking for one. If I read the marketing content and products/services literature of companies, change is the one constant in their messaging to the world at large. Almost all individuals, leaders and entities that speak of change, speak of changing others, of changing the world, of driving the change, of being catalysts or negotiators of the change for others

There is an element missing though.

In my experience, often all that is required is for me to change. Unless I change, nothing else will change, especially my perception of the world, my place in it, and how I can contribute to society at large. Change has to begin with the end of existing status and then it can be the start of something new.

To understand, accept and internalise into action such knowledge requires continuous learning, training and focus on performance. That, in brief, is the genesis of this journal: The Learning Equilibrium.

Sometimes the only change required is for us to change.
